Aberdeen used to be a sleepy port on Hong Kong Island. Some fisherfolk
still live on their boats, altho the government is trying to move them
into government housing. There are boats for rent that take you on a
short harbor cruise ($50 HK dollars each) around the tugs, the barges,
and the sampams. Of course, they also cruise you past the anchored
tourist dining ships, like Jumbo.
This is Jumbo. The food is not particularly good, quite expensive, but
very fresh. The boats tied up alongside are the "water taxis" that take
tourists out to the restaurants (there are actually 3).
The harbor is one of the busiest in the world, altho it surely doesn't
look that way here.
