Off in the Sierra Madre Occidental of Mexico, approximately one hour from the City of TEPIC, Nayarit, is AGUAMILPA Lake. This lake was formed by damming a stream & creates hydro-electric power & fish (as well as related industries) for the region.

The lake is somewhat low these days because it is the end of the dry season. When the rainy season ends, it will be perhaps 70 inches deeper.

Getting ready to board a power boat for a trip to the Huichol village.

Note the cook stove in a box on the dock. It traveled with us to the village.
