Page 11 - Concordia and Copala
We decided to take a day trip to some small towns outside Mazatlan.
One, Concordia is known for furniture-, pottery- and brick-making.
Copala is an old mining town waaaay up in the Sierra Madres.
The church in Concordia made from local stone by 2 Germans.
This was the day after the feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe (Dec. 12),
so the church was "decked out" in her honor.
Inside the city hall was another petroglyph supposedly of Quetzaqoatl.
I couldn't see it, but...
Side of the church
The village square in front of the church. Charming.
