Some researchers say that the double spiral is the wind; others say it symbolizes the divide between North America and Mesoamerica, i.e., the Tropic of Capricorn.

I tried to see how hard it was to make a petroglyph. I took a rock,  using it like a hammer stone, & pecked away. It was interesting because the rock made a chalk-like pattern that could be followed, but it would take a lot of banging to make any design that had depth.

Is this a sun image? Or, perhaps a comet?

This was a monkey. There was a prehensile tail wrapped around a stick image. The face is quite similar to that of the "mono" that the Tahue people made in ceramic. Does that fact date this particular petroglyph?
