Page 6 - the Museum

After trooping around the wilds of Sinaloa, we were hungry, so our friend took us to a road-side stand where the woman was making tacos, tostados and gorditas. She set up her "kitchen" across from her house. She only served food at night. There was a loooong line to buy her food. It was wonderful!

Of course, we had to visit the local museum (a 3 room building with examples of local pre-Contact ceramics and skeletons). We were thrilled to find examples of molded skulls on display since that's my area of expertise.

There were some in a large burial olla, too.

Examples of large local ceramics

Monkey in ceramic; very similar to the petroglyph.
